NU representatives participated in the Annual Conference of the European University Association (EUA), held on April 10–11 in Riga, Latvia.
The conference brought together around 400 university representatives from 36 countries to exchange insights on building a more sustainable future, with a focus on strengthening institutional and societal resilience. Representing NU, Ainur Algash, Senior Manager of the Department for Internationalization, presented the university’s efforts in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also highlighted the work of the Kazakhstan office of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), including its ongoing projects and future plans.
With over 850 members from 47 countries, EUA plays a key role in the Bologna Process and helps shape EU policies in higher education, research, and innovation. NU became a member of the EUA in December 2021.
