As part of the Physics Congress 2026, Nazarbayev University is pleased to host a solo piano concert by Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin — an internationally recognized Kazakh composer, concert pianist, music theorist, and researcher.

The concert programme will feature works by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, F. Liszt, and A. Scriabin, accompanied by Rakhat-Bi’s personal introductions to each composition, offering audiences deeper insight into the music and its artistic context.

Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin is the author of more than 150 symphonic and chamber works, including three operas. His interdisciplinary work bridges music, philosophy, and science. In 2024, he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in London, UK. His groundbreaking “Quantum Universe” Symphony for Organ, Quantum Guitar and Electronics — described as the world’s first quantum music composition — opened the Oxford Quantum Centenary Conference in 2025.

The event will provide students, researchers, faculty members, and conference participants with a unique opportunity to experience an evening of classical music, contemporary artistic thought, and dialogue between science and the arts.
