Building upon the outcomes of the China – Central Asia Summit (Xi’an 2023) and the continued advancement of the China– Central Asia cooperation mechanism, the 2025 Astana framework further strengthens collaboration between China and Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and public health.
In alignment with the strategic outcomes of this regional cooperation framework, this symposium is organized to further promote practical collaboration in emerging technologies and healthcare transformation, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, digital economy, and biomedical sciences as key drivers of sustainable development.
Guided by the principles of joint development, innovation-driven growth, and mutually beneficial cooperation, the event supports the implementation of high-level agreements under the China– Central Asia cooperation mechanism, fostering deeper integration of scientific research, clinical innovation, and industrial application across the region.
Against this backdrop, NORXIN International Science and Technology Cooperation Center (Xi’an, China), in collaboration with Nazarbayev University School of Medicine, is convening this international symposium to establish a high-level platform for dialogue among government representatives, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and industry stakeholders.
The symposium aims to:
- Strengthen China–Central Asia cooperation in AI-driven healthcare innovation
- Promote joint research platforms and clinical translation initiatives
- Facilitate international collaborative funding mechanisms and innovation projects
- Support the development of regional biomedical research and healthcare innovation ecosystems
This initiative is expected to contribute to the long-term institutionalization of China – Central Asia scientific and technological cooperation, and to foster sustainable, innovation-driven growth across the region.
