SANTO’s General Director Gives Lecture at NU School of Medicine

This lecture was part of the Drug Discovery course for the Master of Pharmacology and Toxicology (MPToX) and Master of Molecular Medicine (MMM). Adam Aleksiejuk addressed a captivated audience of students, faculty, and industry professionals, outlining the critical role of generic drugs in enhancing patient access to necessary treatments.

This lecture was part of the Drug Discovery course for the Master of Pharmacology and Toxicology (MPToX) and Master of Molecular Medicine (MMM).

Adam Aleksiejuk addressed a captivated audience of students, faculty, and industry professionals, outlining the critical role of generic drugs in enhancing patient access to necessary treatments. He highlighted the significance of local producers like SANTO in supporting the healthcare infrastructure and providing affordable medication options to the populace.

Education is the key to the future of healthcare. Through initiatives like the SANTO Academic Program, we equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to shape the pharmaceutical landscape of tomorrow, with patient health and well-being always at the core. Together with our partner, NU School of Medicine, we are raising a new generation of healthcare pioneers ready to drive innovation and grow the industry. We will undoubtedly continue such educational seminars. Both theoretical and practical – on the basis of our SANTO production site, ” – said Adam Aleksiejuk, General Director SANTO Member of Polpharma Group.

The lecture emphasized the importance of the generic pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan, discussing how companies such as SANTO are pivotal in the provision of treatment and in fostering a sustainable, self-sufficient healthcare system. Mr. Aleksiejuk provided a comprehensive overview of the market dynamics, the challenges faced by local producers, and the strategies employed to overcome these hurdles.

“Off patent generic drugs are an essential part of healthcare that makes medication accessible to more people. A collaboration with local generic manufacturers such as SANTO will keep our students abreast in the Kazakhstani generic drug production,” – said Associate Professor, MPTox’s Program Director at NU School of Medicine.

The event was a part of NU School of Medicine’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational opportunities for its students and to contribute to the professional dialogue across critical sectors such as healthcare.
