Support when it’s truly needed
The Student Emergency Fund was initiated by the Department of Student Services (DSS) in 2021 to provide urgent financial support to Nazarbayev University students facing difficult life situations.
Originally launched as a temporary measure during the COVID-19 pandemic, the fund quickly proved to be a vital support tool. Today, it has become an integral part of the student support system, aimed at ensuring students’ academic resilience and well-being.
Who can the fund help?
The fund is intended for students experiencing temporary (emergency) financial difficulties that may affect their academic performance, health, or overall well-being. This may include expenses for food, medical services, housing, study materials, and other essential needs.
Why is this important?
We understand that even a small amount of support can make a big difference. The Student Emergency Fund helps students stay focused on their studies and recover from challenging times without losing confidence in themselves or their future.
Student Rights Committee
The Student Rights Committee protects and promotes the rights, responsibilities, and well-being of students at Nazarbayev University.
It guarantees students’ voices are heard in academic policies, campus life, and grievance procedures.
