It was organized to raise money for Aiziya, a 1-year-old daughter of Ainur Murumbayeva, HR manager at NU SSH. The baby girl had been diagnosed with a terrible disease – retinoblastoma of both eyes. About 15 million tenge is needed for further procedures.

On October 23, more than 100 runners participated despite the weather’s coldness, including NU professors, students, and staff. Mrs Loretta O’Donnell, NU Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and Mr Gonzalo Hap Hortelano, Dean of the NU School of Sciences and Humanities, greeted all participants and expressed their gratitude for their willingness to help a child.

Before the race, people had a short workout to warm up which created a positive vibe around. People were divided into four groups to run for 1 and 3 kilometres. All participants received a certificate and token gifts.
