Durvudkhan Suragan is the youngest scientist in the history of Kazakhstan to receive the state Prize in mathematics. He is also the first winner of the Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize in Central Asia. He is one of the most cited Kazakh scientists in the world. Even in mathematics, there is a Ruzhansky-Suragan hypothesis. Now he is teaching at NU, contributing to Kazakh science’s prosperity. Aikyn newspaper talked with a young scientist about the modern education system and Kazakh society.
