Alexey Tsoi, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan on Social Issues, visited Nazarbayev University on March 5 to learn about the university’s research activities and scientific infrastructure.
During his visit, Tsoi toured several of the university’s research facilities and met with university leadership. He was introduced to laboratories working in genomic and personalized medicine, energy storage systems and electron microscopy, as well as projects developed by the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI). The presidential advisor praised the level of research being conducted and the university’s growing contribution to the national scientific landscape.
NU Executive Vice President Aslan Sarinzhipov and Vice President Assel Uvaliyeva presented the university’s major academic and research achievements. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in expanding collaboration, particularly in areas that are strategically important for the country’s scientific and technological development.
