The community of the Autonomous Organization of Education “NU” (hereinafter referred to as NU, the University) has recently noticed an increase in fake publications undermining the reputation of the University, discrediting the honor and dignity of its individual employees.
NU refutes rumors of links between its staff that go beyond professional relations, about buying and owning foreign real estate, and about the unethical management practices at NU, described on Facebook on the accounts Krivosheev Live and Denis Krivosheyev and on Telegram channel Krivosheev Live, in the social network “TikTok” under the nicknames “Qazaqos”, “Democrator”. These statements may be refuted with objective evidence.
In this regard, NU reports that it is taking action to combat the spread of false defamatory information. NU management requested the law enforcement of Kazakhstan to give a legal assessment of the mentioned cases.
We urge the media and bloggers to respect the privacy of people, to refrain from participating in the persecution of university employees and their families.
In regard to criticism of the behavior of the mentioned staff member described in the above mentioned publications, the University has effective mechanisms for responding to complaints of violations of professional ethics. So far, no written complaints related to the behavior of the employee has been received by the Department of Human Capital Development.
NU intends to protect its reputation from false and defaming information. The University will challenge in court any actions of organizations and individuals aimed at disseminating information containing slander and defamation.
We urge media representatives and public to refrain from publishing, reposting, commenting and disseminating unverified, provocative information.
The University management was and remains open to a constructive dialogue with the media, thanks professional journalists for their work, and is ready to discuss the activities and achievements of NU.
