In connection with social media video message posted by a student of NU (hereinafter – the University) about sexual harassment the police are conducting a pre-trial investigation, the results of which will be disclosed by police in accordance with the legislation after its completion.
However, some media outlets posted articles with headlines that do not at all correspond to the body of the article, which, considering that the investigation is still ongoing, can only be interpreted that the author intended to mislead the public, damage the University’s reputation, and negatively affect the NU Community.
The University strongly condemns posting information that is not corroborated by investigative findings or facts.
The University will defend its reputation vigorously, including by taking recourse to legal means as necessary.
It must be stressed that the University has a “zero-tolerance” approach to any forms of violence and fully cooperates with the investigation.
