NU’s new Youtube project ‘PopSci’ will premiere on September 1st on the University’s official YouTube channel, where NU faculty and researchers from different NU schools will answer the most common questions people ask scientists. For example, is cryptocurrency a bubble? Are all politicians corrupt? Is building a nuclear plant safe? Why shouldn't you sleep with a phone under your pillow? Is speaking with an accent okay? And how can animals help miners find minerals?The goal of the project is to share knowledge not only with the NU Community, but also with Kazakhstani and international audiences.

Maria Rybakova was born in Moscow and studied at Moscow State University for about three years, the same amount of time at the University of Berlin, received her PhD degree in the United States, and then began writing and publishing books. Maria has worked in the USA and China, and today teaches at NU.
