On March 19, the capital introduced the "Quarantine" regime – where the city borders were closed for entry and exit, movement in the city was limited, and people were encouraged to keep social and physical distance from others. Although NU has helped to run Mathematics Olympiads before now, it should be noted that this year’s event is distinctive in that it is the first time that the university has been completely in charge of designing and hosting the event. This means that NU professors, staff, and students not only developed the competition’s tasks in accordance with the approved standards for Olympiads, but also provided the system for evaluation of winners, and judged the event.
