Times Higher Education has published its 2026 World University Subject Rankings. Nazarbayev University (NU) has strengthened its position across some key academic subjects.
NU has risen into the 301–400 band in Medical and Health, continuing two years of steady improvement. Arts and Humanities follow suit, rising to the 301–400 range.
Education Studies once again achieved the university’s best result, retaining its leading position within NU and ranking in the 176–200 band globally.
Engineering and Social Sciences programs are ranked in the 401-500 band and Computer Science in the 501–600 band. Physical Sciences and Business and Economics subject areas have maintained their positions in the 601–800 band.
The Times Higher Education subject rankings include universities from around the world and assess performance across 11 subject areas using a comprehensive methodology.
