During his working visit to Almaty, President Tokayev inspected the renovated National Academy of Sciences “Gylym Ordasy” building and held a large meeting with the scientific community. He emphasized the importance of science and education for the nation’s prosperity and acknowledged the increasing investment and growth in these sectors. He also reminded that this year is the 125th anniversary of one of the most prominent Kazakh scientists Kanysh Satpayev.
The participants from NU included Dos Sarbassov, General Director of the National Laboratory Astana, Yuliya Safarova, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Bioengineering and Regenerative Medicine, and Ayaulym Nurgozhina, Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Drug Design and Development. The invitation to this high-level meeting highlights the university’s prominent role in advancing scientific research and innovation in Kazakhstan.
