According to the Order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2025, On the Awarding of Prizes in the Field of Science and State Scientific Scholarships, Associate Professor Dina Sharipova of the Graduate School of Public Policy and Associate Professor Zhanat Kappassov of the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (SEDS) have been awarded state prizes for their significant contributions to the advancement of science.
Dina Sharipova received the Sh. Ualikhanov Prize for the best research in the humanities for her study “Changing Well-Being in Central Asia: Evidence from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.” Zhanat Kappassov, in turn, was awarded the D.A. Kunayev Prize for Young Scientists for the best research in the natural sciences for his work “Event-Based Tactile Robotic Skin for Intelligent Physical Interaction with the Environment.”
In addition, the State Scholarship for Talented Young Scientists was awarded to Associate Professor Almagul Mentbayeva, postdoctoral scholars Azamat Yeshmukhametov and Berikbol Dukeyev, and researchers from the National Laboratory Astana at NU — Sholpan Askarova, Olzat Toktarbayuly, Aliya Mukanova and Munziya Abutalip.
