The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest technical professional organisation, which is focused on advancing technology. IEEE and its members provide highly cited publications, conferences, and professional and educational activities, which boost global science and technology. IEEE established the Education Award in 2005 to recognise distinguished contributions to education within the field of interest of the IEEE Electron Devices Society. The laureate of the award must be a distinguished educator affiliated with either an academic, industrial or government organisation.
Professor Ilesanmi Adesida is a successful scientist and administrator in both scientific and educational circles. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed articles and has made more than 250 presentations at international conferences. We congratulate Professor Adesida!
