NU Professor Pelizzo Ranked in Top 4% of Most Read Profiles on Academia.edu

Riccardo Pelizzo, Professor and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP), has been ranked in the top 4% of the most-read profiles on Academia. edu.

Riccardo Pelizzo, Professor and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Graduate School of Public Policy (NU GSPP), has been ranked in the top 4% of the most-read profiles on Academia.edu. This platform is an open database of scholarly articles where one can track citations of publications and news about the latest research and developments. The platform, created in 2008, now has more than 240 million registered users.

Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek congratulated Professor Pelizzo on his achievement, noting his exceptional contribution to the academic community.

Dr. Pelizzo is an internationally recognized political development specialist. His research focuses on issues of institutional reform and institutional performance in developing countries. Currently, he is devising several diagnostic tools to measure political stability and other dimensions of good governance.

“It’s obviously very pleasing, however surprising, that one’s paper can reach a wide audience. The visibility that some of my publications have (recently) enjoyed shows that the research we produce at NU appeals to readers worldwide. This is possibly the best indication of how successful NU has been in establishing itself as a center of research excellence,” said Dr Pelizzo.

NU is dedicated to top-notch research. The university’s research output was highlighted in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2024. The university entered it for the first time, taking a place in the top 30% of universities worldwide. Moreover, NU professors are ranked in the top 2% of scientists in the world, according to an annual systematic bibliometric study by researchers from Stanford University. Based on the Scopus database of over 180,000 top scientists, this list is widely regarded as the most renowned of its kind.
