On February 1, 2019, the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of the RK and NU signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The parties intend to cooperate in developing an innovation economy, human capital and high-tech knowledge in Kazakhstan.
The document was signed by the Director of the Institute Mr. Yerbol Ospanov and the NU Provost Mr. Ilesanmi Adesida. After the ceremony where the memorandum was signed, representatives of the National Institute of Intellectual Property held a training seminar for the NU community on the registration of intellectual property. The seminar covered issues such as how to patent research inventions, the registration of trademarks, and the protection of intellectual property rights in Kazakhstan and globally.
