NU Global 2025: Inspiring the Next Generation of Global Leaders

NU Impact Foundation hosted NU Global, one of the brightest events of the autumn at Nazarbayev University (NU). The event brought together students, faculty, and international experts for an afternoon and evening of inspiration, creativity, and professional growth.

“It is more than just an event. It is a place where students come together to create, collaborate and inspire each other. Global careers and intercultural talks. Discover opportunities for internships at international organizations and master the art of building strong professional connections,” shared the organizers.

A key highlight was the Business Session, featuring motivational speeches on global careers and intercultural communication. Attendees gained practical insights on building international careers, thriving in multicultural environments, and establishing strong professional networks.

Distinguished speakers included Andrei Mikhnev, World Bank Country Manager for Kazakhstan; Nikita Shabayev, UN Volunteers Country Coordinator; Aida Alzhanova, Strategic Development Expert; and Marilyn Plumlee, MSc Instructor at NU’s Writing Center. Their experiences and advice inspired students to pursue meaningful careers with global impact.

NU Global offered ample opportunities for networking, photo moments, and shared experiences, embodying NU’s commitment to unity in diversity. By connecting students with global experts and creative performances, the event demonstrated the university’s role as a hub for international learning, professional growth, and cultural exchange.

The evening continued with a cultural and creative Program, featuring performances by the NU Orchestra, NU Dance Club, NU Choir, NU Decides, NU Vocal Club, NU Kiye Qazaq Dance Club, and NU YBS KPop Cover Dance Club, culminating in a lively lottery that added fun and excitement to the celebration.
