On October 30, the Astana ESG Forum 2025 took place in Astana — a key cross-sectoral platform aimed at developing the national ESG ecosystem and promoting sustainable development principles in Kazakhstan.
The forum brought together representatives of government bodies, businesses, international organizations, and the expert community to exchange best practices and develop systemic solutions for integrating ESG principles into the country’s economy.
Nazarbayev University took part in the session “Social Impact and Human Capital Development,” represented by Kanat Baigarin, Chief Officer for Sustainable Development.
During the discussion, participants explored the crucial role of business, academia, and civil society institutions in strengthening social responsibility, improving quality of life, and creating inclusive opportunities for human capital development.
