Students come from 6 universities-members of the University Alliance of the Silk Road, namely, Xi’an Jiaotong University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, NU, Beijing University of Technology, Capital Normal University, and Capital University of Economics and Business. Among the participants there are 5 undergraduate students from NU.
During the 3 day-part in Astana students had a unique opportunity to merge into the Kazakhstani culture, attend the lectures on Eurasian studies and Energy, and visit EXPO-2017 site.
This year summer school brought new destinations – Astana and Beijing and enabled students to learn about sustainable development and future energy, raising their cultural awareness and facilitating the dialogue between the young generations within the Asian region.
