NU scientists have developed innovative gas sensors

The sensors based on metal-oxide semiconductors capable of detecting toxic gases were developed within a project funded by the Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Bakhtiyar Soltabaev, head and leading researcher at National Laboratory Astana, highlighted the possibility of reducing dependence on foreign manufacturers and developing microelectronics in Kazakhstan. The scientist also emphasized the importance of cooperation with other Kazak universities, Kazinform.kz reported.
