Under the order of President Tokayev, the 32nd Session of the APK focused on the concept of a Just Kazakhstan, with unity and stability at the core of the country’s development.
More than 1,000 people participated in the panel discussions: Senior officials, APK members, representatives of religious associations, non-governmental organizations, the diplomatic corps, chairpersons of national and regional ethnocultural associations, and local and foreign media attended the event.
The work of panel discussions was opened by Deputy Chief of Staff of the President Aida Balayeva. She noted that since last year the format of the Session had been changed, and the first day of the meeting was devoted to discussing ways to improve the work of the APK and its public structures – ethnocultural associations, mothers’ councils, councils of aksakals, associations of entrepreneurs and others.
The section discussed the role of traditions, culture and education in shaping an atmosphere of harmony and tolerance, as well as the part of the APK in implementing political reforms and strengthening national unity.
The delegates of the Session took an active part in discussions. Topical issues of the formation of spiritual, moral, universal and civic values in children, the upbringing of a high culture of tolerance, interpersonal and interethnic communication, patriotism, as well as personal, strong-willed, physical and intellectual readiness of children for social interaction and positive interethnic communications were raised.
As part of the “Under One Shanyrak” campaign, a yurt was erected at the main entrance of NU. The action symbolizes the nation’s unity under a common shanyrak, the joint work of Kazakhstanis for the good of the motherland, and the contribution and participation of everyone in the country’s development. The solemn event was attended by deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of central and local executive bodies, members of the APK, chairpersons of republican and regional ethno-cultural associations, scientific, creative intelligentsia, and media representatives.
