From August 21 to 23, Nazarbayev University will host an international scientific conference on sustainable energy materials and intelligent technologies as part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The event will gather leading researchers, industry experts, and representatives from over 150 BRI partner countries.
The conference will feature sessions and panel discussions focused on key topics including renewable energy, photovoltaic systems, energy storage technologies, triboelectric nanogenerators, smart materials, robotics, and intelligent systems.
Academic partners include Beihang University, Soochow University, Shenzhen Technology University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as well as leading universities from Kazakhstan.
The Belt and Road Initiative was first introduced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013 at Nazarbayev University. Since then, the university has become a key platform for international scientific collaboration and a symbol of the strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan in Central Asia.
