The NU Library officially opened the Japan Book Corner on February 15, 2023. Nippon Foundation kindly presented the books within the Read Project Japan.
Mr Kanata Tomohiro, the Deputy Head of Mission for the Japanese Embassy, Ms Kadisha Dairova, NU Vice-President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation, and Mr Jerald Cavanagh, Library Director, participated in the opening ceremony held in the NU Library Culture room. NU representatives expressed their gratitude for donated books.
NU Japanese Student Club and NU Library organized the Quiz, Origami, and Haiku workshops. Event participants challenged themselves by making origami figures and writing short Haiku poems, and after that, they could enjoy the “Every day a Good Day” movie directed by Omori Tatsushi.
