From June 21 to 24, the Republican IQanat Olympiad was organised on the campus of NU. 750 schoolchildren from all regions of Kazakhstan took part in this event. For four days, they participated in the training and motivational meetings, and NU volunteers organised a tour around the University.
But the primary goal of students was to participate in the IQanat Olympiad.
Organizers arranged a flash mob devoted to the Year of Children with an appeal to the country’s schoolchildren to stake on education and self-development.
On the event’s last day, the names of 100 Olympiad winners were announced. These schoolchildren received an invitation to study at IQanat High School of Burabay as a reward.
“I’m delighted; I still can’t believe I got the grant. It’s a great chance for me. It doesn’t matter what profession I choose; I dream of leaving my mark on the history of Kazakhstan in the future. During these days, we got so much motivation and knowledge, and now we need to channel all this in the right direction,” shares Arman Aitkaliev from Topal village, Abay district, Karaganda region.
The IQanat Olympiad gives students from rural areas a chance to enter IQanat High School of Burabay, gain invaluable experience with highly qualified teachers, expand their circle of acquaintances, and improve their quality of life in general.
