Guest Lecture of the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil

Rubem Correa Barbosa is a professional Brazilian diplomat who joined the Brazilian Foreign Service in 1975. Since then he has served in Ottawa, Lagos, Lisbon, Bogotá, Los Angeles, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

Rubem Correa Barbosa is a professional Brazilian diplomat who joined the Brazilian Foreign Service in 1975. Since then he has served in Ottawa, Lagos, Lisbon, Bogotá, Los Angeles, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Brazil to Nur-Sultan, he served as Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Indonesia.

Mr. Barbosa in his lecture told the history of the formation of Brazil. The lecture was followed by a Portuguese Language Seminar conducted by Alexey Kushnerev, a highly qualified Portuguese teacher with 12 years of experience as an interpreter in the Brazilian embassies in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the end of the lecture, a question and answer session was held, where participants could ask all their questions. The Embassy of Brazil also treated all the participants with traditional sweets and drinks.
