Guest lecture by the Ambassador of the State of Israel

On November 2, 2022, as part of a guest lectures series, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Edwin Nathan Yabo Glusman, visited NU with a guest lecture on the topic: "Israel, innovation and the fourth industrial revolution.

On November 2, 2022, as part of a guest lectures series, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Edwin Nathan Yabo Glusman, visited NU with a guest lecture on the topic: “Israel, innovation and the fourth industrial revolution.” The lecture was held for the university community: students, staff, and everyone interested.

Mr. Ambassador in his lecture spoke about the context of the transition to the phase of the 4th industrial revolution, the specifics of the development of innovations in Israel, the impact of innovations on the country’s economy, and the secret of success in this area. The Ambassador also shared practical advice with students on what qualities help develop an innovative approach and thinking. At the end of the lecture, a question and answer session was held, where participants could ask all their questions. In 2022, the State of Israel and the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Mr. Ambassador Edwin Yabo has a bachelor’s degree in political science, and also completed the diplomatic career development program at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, began his diplomatic activity as a specialist in the Western-Europe division of the multilateral European organizations department in 1995. Mr. Edwin Yabo has worked in the Israeli embassies in Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia and Spain. Prior to his appointment as the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Kazakhstan, he served as Director of the Central European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
