Guest lecture by the Ambassador of Italy and the President of the Future Food Institute

On November 14, 2022, as part of a guest lectures series, the Ambassador of Italian Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Marco Alberti and President of the Food Future Institute, Mrs.Sara Roversi visited NU with a guest lecture on the topic: “Sustainability is the commitment of the new generation”. The lecture was held for the university community: students, staff and everyone interested.

Mr. Ambassador Marco Alberti encouraged students to be active and take part in promoting sustainable development. Ms. Roversi talked about the role of food today in sustainable development, the sustainable development goals for 2030, the Mediterranean diet and the experimental center “Paideia Campus”. At the end of the lecture, a question and answer session was held, where participants could ask all their questions.

H.E.Mr. Alberti is a diplomat with more than 20 years of consolidated professional background in the intersection of public and private sectors. His Excellency has a degree in Law from University of Bologna and entered the National Foreign Service in 2000. Served in Rome, Buenos Aires and New York. Mr.Alberti started his service as an Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan in September 2021. Mrs. Sara Roversi. works with globally recognized high-profile think tanks on setting the agenda for the sustainable food industry. For the last 10 years, Mrs. Roversi focused on inspiring and empowering creative and responsible food entrepreneurs through educational programs and disruptive innovation experiences. She is also a director of Future Food Institute.
