The lecture, titled “Improving Investment Attractiveness in the Republic of Kazakhstan: The AIFC Court and IAC,” focused on the significance of initiatives undertaken by the AIFC Court and IAC to enhance investment attractiveness in Kazakhstan.
During the presentation, Mr. Campbell-Holt elaborated on the common law principles and the procedures and practices at the AIFC Court and IAC. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in fostering trust and confidence among foreign investors, thereby attracting investment to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As the Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC, Mr. Campbell-Holt holds key responsibilities in the day-to-day management and administration of these institutions, including case management. He also serves as the Enforcement Judge of the AIFC Court, responsible for issuing execution orders of AIFC Court judgments and orders.
Mr. Campbell-Holt’s extensive experience includes managing the establishment of the AIFC Court and IAC from the initial concept to recognized premier international dispute resolution institutions in Eurasia. He is renowned for his advisory role in similar initiatives in other countries.
The guest lecture provided valuable insights into the legal framework and dispute resolution mechanisms offered by the AIFC Court and IAC, contributing to the academic and professional development of the university community.
