This key national event will bring together leading and developing researchers from across Kazakhstan to share their latest findings and dialogue with international experts.

The conference theme “Shaping the Future of Scientific Research in Kazakhstan: Working Together for Success” is designed to encourage the collaborative spirit that drives innovation. Bringing together global experts, Kazakhstani researchers at all levels, and students from different fields, the conference will create an intellectual space designed to connect researchers and inspire collaborative solutions to the research and science challenges facing Kazakhstan now and in the future. Participants will enjoy three days of stimulating discussions, knowledge sharing and research.

In addition to poster sessions displaying the research underway across Kazakhstan, the conference offers a number of plenary sessions delivered by top international experts to provide a global window to the latest research and opportunities for thought-provoking discussions focused on Health & Wellbeing, Artificial Intelligence, New Materials & Technology, Energy & Environment, and Socio-Economic Transformation. Stimulating panel sessions will feature global and Kazakhstani experts in deep discussion of University Leadership for the 21st Century and the Commercialization of University Research.

The conference organizers are very pleased to feature two affiliated symposia of interest to conference delegates. The 3rd International Symposium on Novel Materials and Devices will showcase the latest developments in optical, magnetic, catalytic, optoelectronic and electronic materials and devices with applications in energy harvesting and storage, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, sensors and biomedical fields. The NU Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) Symposium will bring together leading experts to discuss the current state of AI and its future development in Kazakhstan.

A feature event of the conference will be the NU final of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition. First held at the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2008, 3MT is now a globally recognized research communication competition where PhD students are challenged to communicate the significance of their research to a general audience, in just three minutes. The Corporate Fund “Social Development Fund” is the official co-organizer of NUARC 2024.
