These TSI® Bluesky and AirAssure sensors are now actively monitoring both indoor and outdoor air quality, providing real-time data accessible to the public through the platform www.tsilink.com. The Almaty installation allows residents to monitor air quality around Seifullin Avenue and serves as a hub for community engagement and education on air pollution and its health impacts.
This project, led by Professor Mike Bergin from Duke University and supported by NU Associate Professor Dhawal Shah, aims to empower local communities by offering precise air quality data specific to their neighborhoods. By involving citizens and educating future generations, NU is committed to fostering greater awareness and action around air quality issues in Kazakhstan.
