36-year-old Pakistani Rizwan Munir, who has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, is studying for a second-year Ph.D. at the School of Mining and Geosciences of NU. According to him, he chose NU because Kazakhstan is rich in oil and gas reserves. The University’s focus on practice was a key reason why he decided to study here.
