From May 13th to 15th, 2024, NU hosted the III Eurasian International Meeting on Advanced Materials for Biomedical and Biosensing Applications and Advanced Biomedical Nanotechnologies.
The conference, attended by 60 participants, addressed topics such as nanopharmaceutical platforms, biosensing technologies, targeting antimicrobial resistance and biofilms, as well as the use of nanotechnologies for tumor treatment. Among the speakers were internationally recognized experts from Sapienza University (Italy), Augusta University (USA), The University of Nottingham, and the University of Macau (China).
“Local and international speakers were excellent in both delivery and content,” commented Professor Mischa Zelzer of The University of Nottingham.
He also noted that NU’s research laboratory infrastructure contributes to the development of science in Kazakhstan. Additionally, he stated that this conference stands out from others in that it emphasizes practical concepts.
“The development of advanced materials for biomedical and biosensing applications plays a critical role in addressing various challenges facing humanity today. The content of the conference was well aligned with current trends and developments in this field,” said Professor Mustafa Culha of Augusta University.
Since its establishment in 2021, this event has served as a platform for collaboration and the exchange of cutting-edge achievements in the fields of nanotechnology and biomedical sciences. Over the course of three days, participants gained valuable knowledge in this area.
The III Eurasian International Meeting on Advanced Materials for Biomedical and Biosensing Applications and Advanced Biomedical Nanotechnologies, exemplifies NU’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering global cooperation. Undoubtedly, this event has been a significant step forward in the advancement of interdisciplinary research in the field of nanotechnology for biomedical applications.
