This group includes 119 graduates of Kazakhstani schools, 33 prize winners of national and international school subject Olympiads and 7 people who have successfully completed Foundation at universities abroad. Another 24 people are NU transfer candidates from other universities (there were 28 candidates in 2012). This group includes 17 students of Kazakhstani universities, 7 students of international universities and four A-level certificate holders. Candidates have the option to continue their study at the first or second year of NU undergraduate programs, depending on their academic performance level and NU schools’ facilities. Currently NU has about 1 500 students. Undergraduate programs are offered at three NU schools: School of Engineering, School of Science and Technology, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Last year NU accepted 29 people on Direct Admission for the first time, including 2 transfer students from Almaty and Petropavl.
