Eurasian Academic Libraries Training (EALT-2025)

NU Library, in cooperation with the Association of University Libraries in the Republic of Kazakhstan, invites library and information science professionals to Eurasian Academic Libraries Training (EALT). This is a new training program and an advancement on the previous School of Libraries Technologies (SLT). This training is aimed at developing and improving librarians’ knowledge and professional competencies concerning all areas of library work. This new innovative program is tailored based on the informational and professional needs of the academic librarians of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

With the theme: “From Support Towards Strategies: Empowering Librarians to Be Leaders”, the program will include the following topics:

Artificial intelligence literacy

  • Teaching & learning support service of the library
  • Research support in the library
  • Training in advanced technologies and tools
  • Knowledge sharing skills development
  • Strategy of engagement and enhancement of library effectiveness.

The training will take place at NU Library (53 Kabanbay Batyr Ave., Astana, Kazakhstan) on December 1-5, 2025.
