Nazarbayev University School of Medicine Invites You to a Guest Lecture by Dr. Pravan Inguva
Nazarbayev University School of Medicine is pleased to invite faculty, researchers, students and the NU community to a guest lecture by Dr. Pravan Inguva.
Title: Towards a Multiscale Model of Lipid Nanoparticle Formation for Nucleic Acid Delivery
Dr. Inguva will speak about his research on lipid nanoparticles, RNA delivery, thermodynamics and computational modelling. His talk will also touch on his academic and professional journey, including his PhD experience at MIT and work in the pharmaceutical field.
Lipid nanoparticles have become an important non-viral platform for nucleic acid therapeutics, most notably through their use in mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Today, they are being developed for RNA therapies, cancer immunotherapies and treatments for genetic diseases. The lecture will explore how mathematical and computational models can help better understand lipid nanoparticle formation and support the rational design and large-scale production of these systems.
Please mark your calendars. We look forward to welcoming you to this lecture.
