Nazarbayev University will host the Eurasian Higher Education Leaders’ Forum (EHELF) 2026 on 5–6 June 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan. Bringing together university leaders, policymakers, researchers, and industry representatives from across Eurasia and beyond, the Forum will serve as a premier platform for dialogue on the future of higher education in an era of rapid global transformation.
Held under the theme, “The Future We Dare to Shape,” EHELF 2026 will address the critical role of universities in responding to technological advancement, economic uncertainty, climate challenges, and evolving geopolitical realities. Participants will engage in high-level discussions on how higher education institutions can lead with resilience, innovation, and purpose while advancing their societal impact.
The Forum marks the renewal of the Eurasian Higher Education Leadership Forum, a distinguished platform that successfully operated from 2011 to 2019. Building on this strong legacy, EHELF 2026 will foster collaboration across academia, government, and industry, generating actionable insights and strengthening regional and global partnerships.
The programme will be structured around three key thematic streams: Universities for Sustainable and Just Futures; Universities in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation; and Leading Universities in a Changing World. Through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, the Forum will explore innovative approaches to governance, research, teaching, and institutional leadership.
EHELF 2026 reaffirms Nazarbayev University’s commitment to advancing higher education, promoting international cooperation, and shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready academic landscape.
