As part of the Times Higher Education World Academic Summit in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, Nazarbayev University (NU) will participate as a content partner. Within the Summit program, NU President Professor Waqar Ahmad will host a networking breakfast titled “From Silk Roads to Knowledge Routes” at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
The event will present NU as a model of a young, modern university that fosters innovation, drives national development, and engages globally.
The breakfast will offer a forum to explore how universities can balance global excellence with local relevance, and to open new opportunities for collaboration and will focus on three themes:
– Balancing global competitiveness with local and regional relevance
– Collaboration as a driver of impact
– The role of young universities in shaping the future
