Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) is a powerful and increasingly popular path to business
ownership — one that involves identifying, acquiring, and scaling small, established businesses.
Instead of launching a risky startup, ETA allows entrepreneurs to step into an operating company
and take it to the next level.
What you will learn:
● Understand the strategic rationale and financial mechanics behind ETA;
● Distinguish ETA from traditional start-ups and private equity buyouts;
● Analyze a target company’s cash flow and estimate enterprise value using multiple valuation
techniques;
● Evaluate deal terms, financing structures, and stakeholder incentives from both buyer and
seller perspectives.
