In this talk, we cut through the hype to deliver evidence-based insights on three critical dimensions of
organizational life: who does the work, how work is coordinated, and how value is created and rewarded.
Participants will examine how hybrid work expands access to talent but risks siloed teams, and how
generative AI automates routine tasks, amplifies creativity, and narrows performance gaps between
employees while introducing new coordination and quality-control challenges.
By the end of the session, participants will gain practical insights into redesigning workflows, strengthening
mentoring, setting standards for AI use, and aligning incentives with emerging sources of value. The result:
leaders better positioned to harness hybrid work and generative AI to effectively manage their teams.

Onajomo (Ona) Akemu — Onajomo (Ona) Akemu — Associate Professor at University of Amsterdam,
before was Associate Professor in Strategy & Entrepreneurship at Graduate School of Business of
Nazarbayev University. Prior to graduate studies, he worked in the international oil & gas industry and also advised start- up enterprises in the Netherlands. He commenced his academic career after receiving his PhD from the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). Dr. Akemu holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering
from Imperial College London and an MBA from London Business School (LBS).
