Key and functional tasks of the Representative Office

Main task of the Representative Office of the autonomous organization of education “Nazarbayev University” in Almaty (hereinafter – Representative office)- is representing interests of the University, as well as implementing the Strategic plan for recruitment and admission of applicants to Nazarbayev University academic programs.

Key and functional tasks of the position

–           participation in implementation  of the strategic plan for recruitment and admission of applicants to the academic programs of Nazarbayev University (in accordance with Job description);

–           ensure the efficiency of technical maintenance and support of  Representative Office, activities and events;

–           budget planning  and execution, including the initiation of the procurement of equipment, consumables and services;

–           tracking equipment-related issues of facilities, including service maintenance, repairs, availability of consumables, documentation.

Education

Higher education with the following preferable specializations in:

–         Information Technologies;

–         education administration;

–         economics;

–         technical field.

Required professional experience

– not less than 1 year of work experience with Bachelor degree in areas corresponding to functional activities of a given position  in civil service, international and/or national and public organizations; or

– or 

 

Work experience in IT field is preferred:

–           high proficiency in using MS Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; operation systems Windows 7/8/10, MacOS, Linux;

–           IT and telecommunications skills;

–           office technical maintenance skills;

–           ability and knowledge to work with databases and large amount of information;

Professional competence and personal qualities

–         effective organizational and management skills;

–         ability to work both individually and in a team;

–         self-driven, able to demonstrate initiative and provide customer-focused support;

–         communication skills, initiative, responsibility, creativity

–         planning and decision-making skills;

Proficiency in languages

Excellent speaking and writing skills in Kazakh, Russian, English
