 Post Title: Specialist (procurement) (maternity leave cover) 

Grade: Specialist 

Reports to: the Executive Director and Dean of the School 

Responsible for: no direct reports 

Main Purpose of the Role

Provide administrative support and deal with the questions related to procurement of goods to ensure the smooth operation of the School.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Participate in planning and development of the annual budget of the equipment, consumables and office goods for School;
  • Documents preparation required for equipment, consumables and office goods procurement;
  • Monitor prices on the market of equipment, consumables and office goods;
  • Monitor equipment, consumables, office goods budget execution;
  • Work closely with University’s structural divisions, PE “NURIS”, PE “USM”, PE “NULITS”;
  • Monitor the process of equipment and laboratory consumables delivery;
  • Provide consultancy and information support to the faculty regarding procurement, budgeting and other issues within own competence;

  • Participate in the development and implementation of the School’s operation plan;
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements for internal and external audit (if necessary);
  • Assist in new faculty adaptation in cooperation with the International Scholars and Students Department, NULITS, and other structural divisions of the University;
  • Assist to teaching fellows and employees in obtaining of necessary documents for work, assistance in registration in tax and migratory authorities of Astana;
  • Interaction with structural divisions of the University in submission of reports and data when the need arises;
  • Participate in the processes of risk identification, assessment, management, control, monitoring and generation of relevant reports within the boundaries of supervising area.
  • Perform of any other duties when the need arises.

An up-to-date knowledge of Kazakhstan employment law
