Position:

   Specialist, Admissions Department

Main functional responsibilities of the unit:

Planning, implementation and arrangement of student recruitment and admission to the University undergraduate and graduate programs;

Education:

 

Higher professional, preferably obtained at higher education institutions with English language of instruction. Priority specializations: 

–          Educational leadership,

–          Economics,

–          Technical education;

–          Science.

Desired work experience:

 – with Bachelor’s degree – at least 1 year of working experience in the areas, corresponding to functional areas of specific position in a public service or in international and/or national companies; or

–  with Master`s degree work experience is not required.

Main functional duties:

–  informing the interested persons on the admissions requirements of University;

–  the acceptance and processing of  applicant’s documents;

–  formation and maintenance / updating  the electronic database of applicants;

–  Informing applicants about the examination  date, place and conditions;

–  preparation of materials on applicants for Admission Committee;

–  preparation of an act on hand over of files of personal documents of applicants who were rejected from participation in the competition to the archive;

–  preparation of an act on hand over of files  of personal documents of successful applicants to the relevant structural unit of the University;

–  work with incoming correspondence, with inquiries of structural divisions of the University, timely submission of answers to letters, appeals of citizens within the competence of the Department;

–  maintenance paperwork of the Department;

– registration and storage of the Department’s documents, control over their condition and safety prior to transfer to the University archive;

Professional competence and personal qualities:

– work  with databases and large amounts of information;

– good communication skills ( both written and oral);

– high level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

– commitment to University goals and values;

–  teamwork (keep the priority of the interests of the organization over the interests of the structural unit);

– ability to plan and make decisions;

– stress resistance;

Language skills:

Fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English languages;
