Senior Manager of E-Resources Management Department of  Library Directorate of the «Nazarbayev University Library and IT Services» PE


Key and functional tasks of the department:

Organization of the electronic resources acquisition, analysis of use and account


Duties and Responsibilities:

–     ensure the timely acquisition of electronic resources for academic and research activities of the university;

–     participate in the selection, testing and account of electronic library resources;

–     participate in the organization of acquisition of electronic resources of the library;

–     participate in determining the needs for electronic resources on the basis of requests of the faculty of the University;

–     examine the information needs of patrons, the effectiveness of the use of library funds and analysis of provision of students with electronic resources together with the patron services department;

–     provide consulting and methodological assistance on matters within the competence of the structural units;

–     participate in the formation of the budget request for the financial year, in accordance with its managed structural subdivision of the budget articles;

–     timely and quality execution of other instructions from the management in the framework of their duties



–     MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) from accredited programs of the North America, Canada, Europe, South –East Asia universities;

–     Or a bachelor’s degree from Bolashak in any field / or higher education in library  (MLIS equivalency) and/or internship/academic year in a library program from international universities;

–     and / or a bachelor’s degree in the field of “Finance”, “Economy”, “Law”, “Business Administration” and related specialties


Work experience:

At least 3 years of experience in fields relevant to functional assignments of the position / or at least 2 years of experience in case of finishing studies in foreign universities, by professions relevant to the functional assignments of the position

Knowledge of Kazakh, English and Russian

Excellent English with IELTS minimum 6.0 / TOEFL minimum 79-93 (certificate validity interval does not matter) or Diploma/University Certificate with English as a language of instruction
