Key and functional tasks of the department

– information-analytical work relating to the University innovation development on the basis of collection, analysis and synthesis of information about innovation potential of structural divisions and organizations of the University;

– organizing and ensuring the development and implementation of mechanisms for the development of innovation infrastructure facilities of the University and its organizations (Intellectual Innovation Cluster);

– establishment and development of strategic partnership in innovation with higher education institutions, scientific research, project designing and scientific production organizations in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad;

– formation and development of the active innovation community at the University and its organizations;

– organizational and methodological support of development and implementation of innovative projects and programs at the University and its organizations;

– other tasks assigned to the Department.

Key and functional tasks of the position

– taking part in the information-analytical work on the development of innovations at the University through collection, analysis and synthesis of information about innovation potential of structural divisions and organizations of the University;

– taking part in the development and implementation of  development mechanisms of innovation infrastructure facilities of the University and its organizations (Intellectual Innovation Cluster);

– taking part in the establishment and development of strategic partnership in innovation with higher education institutions, scientific research, project designing and scientific production organizations in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad;

– taking part in activities related to formation and development of the active innovation community at the University and its organizations;

– attracting financial resources for implementation of scientific innovation researches and projects from budgetary (target programs) and extra-budgetary funds;

– participation in identification, assessment, management, control and monitoring of risks and preparation of relevant reports according to established functional areas within the integrated risk management system;

Education

Academic Degree from Kazakhstani or foreign highly regarded higher education institutions

The required professional experience (period, field, other):

Work experience at least 5 years in the management of research and innovation activities and / or supervising research and development (R & D) of projects, or at least 3 years of work experience at the University and its organizations in the above fields.

Professional competence and personal qualities:

Analytical skills, interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, adaptive traits, leadership skills.

Good knowledge of the current situation and trends in the development of industry and science in Kazakhstan  and in developed countries.

Proficiency in languages:

Knowledge of Kazakh, Russian, & English is required

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, LaTex, and version control systems
