Senior Manager, Department of Finance

Key and functional tasks of the department:1) accounting and tax accounting;2) timely generation and presentation of reliable financial and tax reporting and fulfillment of tax obligations;3) coordination, registration and monitoring of business contracts;4) control over the safety of the property of the University, the efficient use of resources and compliance with financial discipline;5) other tasks assigned by the University management.

Key and functional tasks of the position:

– examination of draft contracts; – verification of bank guarantees and insurance contracts issued for the University within the framework of concluded contracts; – monitoring of payments within the framework of concluded contracts, implementation of checks of settlement and estimate documentation;- financial expertise of documents submitted for participation in tenders held by the University; – examination of documents for the return of bank guarantees under the contracts; – verification of reports, financial documents provided in the framework of the activities of subsidiaries / schools; – verification of reports, financial documents provided under agreements with third parties;- verification, preparation and consolidation of cash flow plans;

– analysis of receivables and payables;

– development of methodological and normative documents, setting goals and monitoring the implementation of automation of business processes of the unit;- fulfillment of any other organizational, technical and administrative responsibilities for competence.

Education:

– Higher professional education, the presence of a bachelor’s / master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business administration.- CIMA certificate, a professional accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan, DipIFR and / or ACCA is an advantage of the candidate

Desired professional experience (duration, sphere, and other):

With a master’s degree, the work experience in the specialty is at least 5 years in the areas corresponding to the functional areas of this position, as well as in the divisions of the financial and economic services of companies; either with a bachelor’s degree or specialist, work experience in the specialty of at least 7 years in areas corresponding to the functional areas of this position and in the departments of the financial and economic service of international and / or national companies, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in Nazarbayev University .

Professional knowledge and personal qualities:

– knowledge of civil, labor and tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan- knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on payments, currency regulation, banking, accounting and IFRS,- analytic skills;- responsibility, honesty, initiative, loyalty to the organization;- stress resistant;- ability for individual and teamwork, – good communication skills and ability to build healthy business relationships with colleagues- the ability to plan work and adapt to change, stress resistant;- leadership skills and organizational skills;- Ability to work effectively with local and international teams.

Proficiency in languages:

– Fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English (in both spoken and written);

Computer skills:

Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), 1С: Enterprise, Directum, Paragraph.
