Senior Accountant of the Finance and Accounting and Reporting Department


Key duties:

Observe terms and provisions of the Charter and Bylaws of the USM ;

Act strictly based on the principles of accounting regulated by the International Financial Reporting Standards, Accounting and Tax policies of the Entity;


Provide guidance and  advise affiliates and structural divisions of the USM with respect to property safekeeping;

Fixed assets accounting owned by the USM or transferred to it under operation/trust management;

Draft and submit timely summary on receipt, flow, and retirement of assets owned by the USM or transferred to it under operation/trust management to the company management;  

Ensure safekeeping  and proper efficient utilization of fixed assets;

Ensure timely, proper and complete registration of inventory and fixed assets accounting;

Oversee accountable officers to ensure proper assets accounting of the USM in storage areas;

Contribute  to stock-taking of the USM assets in accordance with current laws;

Ensure cash shortages reimbursement based on stock-taking outcomes;

Timely and properly issue electronic invoices on site, ensure valid and proper issuance of invoices to suppliers of goods, works, and services, including goods listed in Withdrawals Sheet and compliance of codes of Foreign economic activity goods classification with goods quality certificates according to the laws, and timely reject electronic invoices, if required.

Timely propose amendments to Accounting and Tax policies of the USM, and any other internal policies and procedures within his\her competence;

Contribute to development and implementation of activities aimed at establishing financial discipline and rational use of resources;

Timely have official evaluation and advanced professional training;

Timely and properly fulfill instructions given by Chief Accountant.

Business trips:

University degree in Finance and/or Economics

Required professional experience (duration, field, etc.)

At least 3 (three) years of professional experience as an Accountant.

Professional experience in state agencies, corporate entities, non-profit and international organizations.


Analytical skills, report and executive summary drafting skills, teamwork skills (prioritize the company’s interests over structural division’s interests);

Chartered Accountant Certificate

Certified Accounting Practitioner (CAP)

Personal skills:

Strong leadership skills, communication skills, ability to handle stress

Language requirements,  including Kazakh (indicate languages you speak)

Fluent Kazakh and Russian;

English would be an asset

PC skills:

In-depth knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, 1С: Accounting.
