Key and functional tasks of the position

Key tasks:

1)  Planning and conducting experiments;

2)  Computer modelling and simulation: of obtained experimental  results; for predicting physical  effects or phenomena

3)  Publications in international journals with impact factor not less than 1 (for a year 2 publications);

Functional tasks:

1)  Each week scientific papers and patents review and their presentation;

2)  Weekly progress report presentation;

3)  Preparation of annual, semi-annual, quarterly scientific reports;

4)  Preparing research proposals and funding applications;

5)  Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments;

6)  Enhancement of professional knowledge in experimental physics and computer simulations.


Master degree or Phd in material science, nanotechnology, solid state physics or equivalent.

Required professional experience 

2-5 years of uninterrupted scientific experience

Professional competence and personal qualities

 Job applicant must have skills of self-motivation, organization and ability to work under pressure. Along with that has to have a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion. Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and as a member in project team. According with personal qualities has to be trustworthy, hard-working and eager to learn new.

Proficiency in languages

Fluency in Kazakh, Russian, English (oral and writing skills) languages.

Computer Literacy

Advanced user of OS Linux, Windows. Knowledge of different academic software: for processing data analysis and scientific graphing; for modeling and simulation various nanotechnological processes.
