Key and functional tasks of the Department | Research Integrity and Quality Research Administration is committed to providing NU faculty, staff and administrators with the reports and data necessary to make decisions and measure progress. Research Quality will involve gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data, which may include selecting data samples, preparing questionnaires, and analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods. Prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids. |
Key and functional tasks of the position | Develop, implement, and maintain the data quality management plan for more than 500 researchers of Nazarbayev University by PURE and related platforms. Responsible for all phases of the data quality lifecycle including: quality assessments and data profiling; quality design; quality transformation and monitoring that result in measurable and sustained data integrity; Design and maintain large databases, collect accurate and timely research-related information from Schools and Research Centers; Manage special projects related to data and reporting needs within Nazarbayev University research activities; Utilize data profiling techniques to assess data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across data sources; Compile reports and run statistical analysis with the application of information system (Scival, PURE, Web of Science, Scopus and etc.); Manage and update information in the Nazarbayev University report databases and ensure documents and links on website are up to date in liaison with website administrator; Assist with the delivery of training in the applications of PURE and provide induction for new faculty members of NU; Assist in maintaining filing system; Undertake other duties as required by Director of Research Administration, Vice-Provost for Research, The Office of the Provost. |
Education | Must possess education and qualifications at Master’s degree level or above, preferably from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction and medium of assessment. |
Required professional experience | with Master’s degree, professional experience shoud be not less than 5 years in the areas corresponding to functional areas of a specific position; or with Bachelor degree, work experience should be at least 7 years in the areas corresponding to functional areas of a specific position in a public service, international and/or national companies, or at least 3 years of work experience at the University and/or its organizations |

Proficiency in languages | Proficiency in the English, Russian and Kazakh languages. |
Computer Literacy | Strong experience with MS Office, Analytics and Bibliometric tools (Pure, Scival, Scopus and Web of Science) |
